ABOUT TRIBE/MASK
The Mossi masks are primarily found in the northwest section of the Mossi plateau in Burkina Faso. This mask/helmet in particular was carved to be free standing with a circular open base. Much heavier than traditional Mossi plank masks, this one has exaggerated details such as protruding circular eyes and noticeable eyebrow/teeth interlocking cutouts. The mask/helmet still retains traditional Mossi mask details such the red/black paint found on the crown and horns of the helmet. A rare mask indeed.
IMPERFECTIONS
Please note these are traditional/old masks. Imperfections are to be expected such as dings and minor cracks. We do our best to showcase the mask using as many photos as possible. Mask is in excellent condition.
MASK DISPLAY
Most African masks require the use of a "Metal V Display Stand". These are great for holding African masks if your intention is to display this on a table top, window bay etc. These are available online at marketplaces such as Etsy or Ebay. Please note we do not supply these.

We require 2-4 business days to process and package each order carefully. All shipping will be made via UPS Ground. Our return policy is strictly 14 days from the time you receive your order and confirmed as delivered. All returns are paid by the customer regardless of reason/cause. All returns must be in their original shipped condition.
