VITAL: PLEASE REVIEW CAREFULLY
Baskets are composed of natural elephant grass, which is not soft. Grass may protrude from time to time, and it can be quickly trimmed off. This is typical with all African Moses baskets.
Please do not carry or move the basket with your baby inside it. Always transport the basket empty no matter what.
Make sure the basket is always set on a solid and flat surface. Do not place the basket on a table, near stairs, or on any other raised surfaces.
REVIEW AAP GUIDELINES BELOW:
Place an infant on their back and use a firm sleeping surface, topped with a tight-fitting sheet.
Pillows, blankets, toys, stuffed animals, and thick coverings should all be avoided inside/perimeter of a bassinet or crib.
A Moses basket is recommended for infants weighing up to 20lbs and/or those who cannot sit up on their own, roll, or push themselves up to a crawling position.
To avoid strangulation, it is recommended that you do not place toys with cords/strings or attach objects to the basket handles. Always make sure handles are pointed outwards when infant is inside basket. "NEVER" leave infant unattended. Avoiding placing any objects inside a basket as it can cause suffocation.
Do not allow animals or other children in the Moses basket when the infant is inside and never leave them unattended.
When it comes to your baby's safety, always keep your basket away from hazards such as fire/flames, heaters, stoves, window blinds, cables, and anything else that might be dangerous or cause harm.
