LEGA PEOPLE
Bwami or Lega (Warega) stools are quite rare and carved using solid heavy timber found in the lush forests of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The stools are colored/stained with dark brown patina and the faces on the figures are painted white. Many of the figures within the stool are considered initiation statues.
Stool showcases four stylized figures each reduced to a head and two members. All figures are joined in unison to form an elegant and intricate architecture. Simply a beautiful and unique stool to own.
